SFDA - COSMETICS
The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) Cosmetics Conformity Assessment Programme requires regulated cosmetic products exported to Saudi Arabia to obtain a Certificate of Conformity (CoC). All products classified as cosmetics fall under SFDA regulations and must secure a CoC prior to market entry, except for specifically exempted items. The certification procedure begins with a request submitted through the FASEH system and concludes with the issuance of the CoC via the same platform.

SFDA Food Certification Process
1. Application Submission
Importers submit their request through the FASEH platform and nominate an approved Conformity Body (CB).
2. Application Review
The CB receives the request and assigns a local coordinator to review the submission and supporting documents.
3. Documentation Verification & Scope Definition
All required documents are verified, and the service scope is defined. This step may also be completed prior to FASEH submission in coordination with the assigned coordinator.
4. Compliance Assessment
Verification activities are conducted in line with SFDA import requirements, which may include product testing, sampling, and inspection where applicable.
5. Certificate Issuance
Once all requirements are successfully met, a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) is issued for the respective shipment.
